After what seemed like weeks and weeks, but was only 5 days, the Final Sonde released from YPAD at 11:15z 21/07/2026 was recovered. VK5NAJ enlisted the help of some members of the Facebook group "SA/Vic 4x4 Border Track Info..." to help track down and recover the Sonde. After a few of the members showed interest JG found the Sonde on the 26th of July, 2026 after a short walk through the bush.

Am Waldrand in den Bäumen gelandet. Sonde hing frei und war relativ leicht zu Bergen. Fallschirm und Ballonreste haben sich in dichtem Gestrüpp verfangen. Leider keine Ausrüstung dabei um dorthin vorzudringen.
